Here's one thing you should know about me: I fall under a trance when I look for stuff in a mall, in a supermarket or in an ukay-ukay place.
Let's say I'm looking for a pair of slippers. I'm not really the type to grab whatever pair that's within my reach. I have to consider a few things like color, sole thickness, design, price and so on. I jump from one display to the next until I find the perfect pair. After all, to myself, they're not just slippers. They could be an extension of my mood for the day. Here's another thing you should know about me: I don't really like buying expensive items. I spend my money wisely. Well, most of the time.
This means that if I find a good pair of slippers that costs half the price of a pair of Havaianas, I'm buying. I don't really care much for the brand as long as the quality and design is good.
A Trip to Gaisano City for some Kicks
So given these 2 facts about moi, I'm going to tell you about my shopping experience at Gaisano City Mall, Bacolod a few days ago.
So our family reunion is coming up and I wanted to buy my son a sturdy pair of shoes and slippers since the reunion is going to be somewhere mountainous/nature-y. SM is too expensive for me so, planning to spend the money when the reunion actually takes place, I and my son (his name is Gionne) go to Gaisano City.
If you've been there, you might already know that you really have to circle the specific department you're in to find a good bargain.
Among the vast displays of clothes, jeans, shorts, boyscout uniforms and undergarments, we found what we were looking for on the kid's foot wear section. After a few minutes (probably almost an hour) of finding the perfect pair, I found a pair of slippers that looks like a sandal because of the strap and a nice pair of shoes.
Upon approval of the gentleman who's going to wear them, I purchased the two pairs.
