When someone says that they are a fan of the NUDE, it's not always what you think. |
A few months back, I purchased the Soliel Lip Colour in Nude Caribbean from the San San Collection. I bought it from the HBC store in Gaisano City Bacolod and it costed around 90Php ($2). I specifically remember getting it because it was on SALE so the retail price probably costs more than 90Php.
I'd have to admit that this was definitely an impulse buy but what the heck! It's a nude lip color and I cannot get enough of NUDE lippies because I can wear them everyday.
Mini-Review of the Soliel Lip Colour in Nude Caribbean
Packaging
- I'm not one to mind the packaging of a product as long as it does the job and doesn't spill all over the place. What I didn't like, however, is the color and the design of the lipstick. I guess San San was going for a summery look but they fell short in the design department, in my own opinion.
Color pay-off & Finish
- Surprisingly, the the color pay-off is pretty good. It's sheer (and shiny) but the color of the lipstick shows off well. It is pretty close to my original lip color so it kind of looks like I'm just wearing lip gloss but I do have darker lines on the outer portion of my lower lip and they don't really seem that apparent when I have the lipstick on.
Application
- The application of the product feels very similar to when you apply a NYX round lipstick - it's buttery, it's smooth and it is moisturizing. Kudos to San San on this department.
Scent
- I love anything vanilla and the product's scent has hints of it.
Amount of product VS Price
- I paid 90Php for it and I've used it about more than 10 times. I think the price is worth it for the amount of product in the lipstick tube (my own opinion). I do feel that it melts easily when you apply it on your lips because of the consistency hence, it might not last you a month if you're using it everyday.
